Rudy Giuliani vs. Ruby Freeman “Shaye” Moss Case Update
According to the Associated Press: A judge has authorized Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea Moss to seize and sell various assets from Rudy Giuliani to collect damages owed to them following his defamatory claims. U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman appointed Freeman and Moss as “receivers,” granting them power to take possession of and sell Giuliani’s assets. Proceeds from the sales will be placed in a trust account, with funds only accessible through court approval.
Giuliani must either deliver the items to a location chosen by Freeman and Moss or have them arrange—and pay for—a truck to retrieve the assets. Additionally, any sale or subletting of his New York apartment would require consent from the building’s co-op board. If Giuliani wins an appeal, Freeman and Moss may be required to return the proceeds from the asset sales or cover their assessed value, whichever is greater.
