This week, Lisa and David talk about George Santos revives his drag queen persona on Cameo; Trump's false claim that he is not allowed to testify; the Good Liars had trouble finding young republicans at “Young Republican” rally; Cicadas spotted in Arkansas; Kentucky Derby; Cinco de Mayo history; Gérard Depardieu arrested on sexual assault allegations; fun international phrases; Texas Democrat Rep. Henry Cuellar charged with bribery; China checkmates U.S. with TikTok ban; news literacy; and more.
Correction: We made a mistake! (who, us?) In the show, we mentioned Meriwether Lewis Clark Jr. in connection with Mint Juleps and said he wasn't related to William Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition (1804-1806). That's incorrect. Meriwether Lewis Clark Jr. was actually the grandson of the famous explorer William Clark. He's also known for being the founder of Churchill Downs, the racetrack where the Kentucky Derby is held.
